Jose J. Leonardo has over 37 years of experience representing developers in a range of projects, including land development, multifamily, condominium, mixed use, office and single-family development. He focuses his practice on real estate and corporate services, as well as infrastructure and energy. He also handles the financing for these types of developments, including institutional, private and mezzanine financing, public representation of complex real estate transactions, as well as government relations. He also has experience in joint ventures and investor partnership creation for these transactions at all levels.

Mr. Leonardo concentrates his practice in real estate and commercial transactions, including title insurance, closings and condominium development matters. Throughout his career he has represented Sellers and Buyers of businesses and real estate, including international entities and foreign individuals, throughout the state of Florida and the United States.

Mr. Leonardo is also involved in the supervision of rezoning and platting, the drafting and recording of declarations of condominiums and provides seller/buyer escrow services. He has experience in complex real estate transactions for developers and equity investors involving acquisitions, developments and construction, institutional lenders in commercial lending for various types of projects and developments in the state of Florida, as well as asset-based loans secured by real estate, inventory, equipment receivables and securities. He is often called on to assist clients in developing solutions for complex real estate transactions.

Mr. Leonardo focuses on guiding Buyers and Sellers in their real estate transactions, as well as developers and institutional lenders. He also works with lenders and borrowers in developing resolutions of troubled loans and complex workouts.

For the past 10 years Mr. Leonardo has also been involved in energy deals in South and Central America, including the financing and construction of large solar energy developments. He is well versed in energy contracts, public-private partnership negotiations, regulatory matters and project finance.

Mr. Leonardo honorably Served two tours of active duty with the United States Air Force.
